Top 10: Events Happening in Huntsville

 1. Beetlejuice The Musical.The Musical.The Musical 

If you’re not busy on Dec. 3, at 1 p.m., you can see Beetlejuice and the rest of the characters in real life at the Mark C. Smith Concert Hall, at the Von Braun Center. 

2. Medieval Metalworks 

This is a fun activity for both parents and children five years and over. The event is hosted at the Huntsville Museum of Art on Dec 2, from 10 -noon. 

3.  A Christmas Carol 

Take a trip through the past, present and future with grouchy Mr. Scrooge. This is the classics’ return to the Fantasy Playhouse stage for the 33rd year this December. Performances are Dec 2, at 7p.m, at the Von Braun Center. Additional dates go through Dec. 10.  

4. NEACA 

The 2023 Christmas Craft Show will have crafters with many beautiful items to show. This is free, but the Von Braun Center will charge for parking. Saturday, Dec. 2 hours are from 9am-6pm, additional dates are Dec 1 and 3. 

5. Galaxy of Lights Walking Nights 

Walk through the beautiful Galaxy of Lights with your friends, family, and dogs at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. Walk days are on November 29-30, December 1-3 and 16-24. Dog walk days are Dec. 18 and 19. 

6. Santa Train

This is a classic Huntsville tradition. Ride the train rails with Santa Claus and give him your wish list as you visit, at the North Alabama Railroad Museum on Dec. 2, from noon-12:30 p.m and on Dec. 9 at 3 p.m. 

7. Huntsville Flea Holiday Market  

The Flea’s Mini Market is approaching once again, offering some antiques, food, home decorations, vintage clothing, Vinyl records and more. The event is free and happening at The Round House in downtown Huntsville, on Dec. 3, from 11 am-4 pm. 

8. Winterville

The Redstone Arsenal Family and MWR is hosting the Winterville event at the Redstone Arsenal Activity Field. Enjoy a holiday jolly market and lighting tree ceremony. This free event is on Dec. 2, from 1-8 p.m The lighting ceremony at 6 p.m.

9. Mean Girls The Musical 

The show stopping iconic musical will be returning to stages in the area. Catch it at the Mark C. Smith Concert Hall, at the Von Braun Center, on Dec. 17 at 1 p.m. and additional performances on Dec. 15, 8 pm-noon am and on Dec. 16 at 2 p.m.. 

10. Swan Lake on Ice

This wonderful performance of an iconic story steps into the ice on Dec. 12, at 3 p.m. at 6400 University Dr.
