With the falling of the age of the (Q:) drive for the school, the now lesser online network, Google has risen as a worthy replacement. A quick learner with considerable storage capacity, the site’s Drive function is already contradicting the old system in numerous ways.

Google Drive is a virtual file system and collaborative engine implemented in the school to help students and teachers synchronize information. A perk this system holds over the head of the former (Q:) drive is that it can be accessed in and out of school if the student has a Google account. Students could be working on a research paper, perhaps, and have questions for the teacher about the MLA formatting. But alas, school has called it quits for the day. With Docs, a branch of the program, a student can invite the teacher to actively critique the paper. Files can also be shared and stored within the cloud.

One thing that the school is largely grateful for is its virtually infinite storage. Even with the old drive still lurking beneath the codes, its small capacity is not missed. Google has the power in itself to contain slews of information and Sparkman is grateful that no one document would threaten to break its back—like the former.

A smart move was made when this system was implemented, as the current generation is quite familiar with the site and its branches. This promotes easy use between both students and teachers and assures the faculty of less worries in days to come.
