A new Netflix series, “My Life With the Walter Boys” premiered in December. The series, based on a book written by Ali Novak, is about an aspiring Princeton student who transports from New York City to Colorado following the tragic death of her family in a car accident.

Jackie, the main character, does not like surprises–chaos is the enemy. The best way to get her successful, busy parents to notice her is to be perfect; the perfect look, perfect grade, perfect daughter. And then her family dies in a car accident. Jackie has to move cross-country to live with the Walters; her new guardians. The Walters have 12 sons.

Now, Jackie must trade in her type-A personality and New York City apartment for a Colorado ranch and all the wild Walter boys who come with it. She was surrounded by the enemy loud, dirty, annoying boys who had no concept of personal space. But several of the oldest guys are flat-out gorgeous but still annoying. She’s not stuck up or bored no matter what they say, proving it is another matter. How can she fit in and move when she needs to keep her parents’ memory alive by living up to the promise of perfection?

This is a highly recommended series you can watch free on Netflix and you can buy the book from many different bookstores.
