Everyday they put on hairnets and aprons to work in a hot kitchen handling, pots, pans and trays full of food. This is what the lunch ladies do and why they should be appreciated.

The ladies arrive at 7:30 a.m. to begin breakfast preparation and continue through lunch preparation. In between, they clean the tables and wash dishes. They serve over 1800 students in these short hours.

People need to realize just how hard they work. They work everyday school is in session. When you don’t pack the typical peanut butter & jelly sandwich, there’s always a delicious tray full of hot food for you to eat.

Lunch ladies are a big part of the school because they insure that every student has something to eat.

They take pride in their work, to make you healthy meals. They are always happy to see students and serve them.

Next time you are in line to receive your meal, take a moment to say, “thank you, and I appreciate all of your hard work”.
