Tackle Tuesday: Whales or Sharks?

Melly: Sharks, the Sea Puppies

First appearing over 450 million years ago, sharks are the few species to stand the test of time and continue to exist till the present day. Even before trees, sharks were swimming in our planet’s oceans existing as the planet’s underwater population control. Keeping the planet’s marine ecosystems balanced. Without them, our oceans would have little to no biodiversity and would cease to invoke the beauty of its varying design. Today there are over 500 species of sharks within our oceans ranging from 8 inches to 62 feet long and all of them are beautiful and misunderstood creatures that deserve respect.

Enoch: Whales, Kings of the Waters

Whales are the largest mammals and unlike Sharks they breathe air and are warm blooded. They have to have a layer of blubber to keep them warm in water which does not retain heat well. Whales are huge and are not dangerous whatsoever. Whales are fascinating creatures with such a wide variety in size from dolphins to the blue whale; the largest mammal. While sharks are just oversized fish whales are truly fascinating creatures and the kings of the waters.
