On Nov. 15, the Sparkman varsity boys basketball battled the Huntsville Panthers in an all around close game that resulted in a Senator win.

During the first quarter, the majority of the team’s 15 points were thanks to their starting five players: AJ Horton, Malik Tyson, Caleb Mack, JP Fletcher and Maurice Anderson. The score after one was 15-12 in favor of Sparkman.

The second quarter was a whirlwind of flip-flopping leads, but by halftime, Sparkman came out with the lead 32-31.

After the half-time break, the Senators came out flying with with sophomore Malik Tyson leading the way. The Senators started to pull away after three quarters with the ending score of the quarter being 47-42.

In the fourth, Sparkman found the way to score and frustrate their opponent, pulling forward by a large majority during the whole 0f this time. In the end, the Senators vanquished the Panthers 66-57.
