Being a Teacher is not an easy task. You have to assign work, teach students, and ensure everything is going according to plan. Melinda Williams does an amazing job doing that, especially as a new teacher at Sparkman High School

Williams graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Master’s degree in education. She teaches Hospitality and Tourism at our school. Outside of school, she spends most of her time with her daughter and stays busy cheering her on at softball.

 “The main reason I chose to do Hospitality and Tourism is because when I was at my interview, it sounded interesting and fun to do,” Mrs.Williams said.  

Most of the time, the reason you wanna do things in life is because you travel around the world and visit places that give you a good mindset of what you want to do in life.

 “The place that made me wanna do Hospitality and Tourism was Disney World because it gave me a perspective on hospitality and tourism,” Williams said. 

Coming from Meridianville Middle School and Moores Mill Intermediate, she taught English Language Arts and Math at both schools.

“The reason I came to Sparkman and left those schools was because I wanted to be closer to home and my community,” Williams said.
