A sweet tooth is a delightful thing to have, especially in an area with so many treats to try. With the city growing, there are countless shops and restaurants popping up left and right. Some of these are old and reliable, while others are new and booming.

  1. Tous les jours

This French-Asian style bakery opened in MidCity in April of 2023. Although they are no longer new, they are still bringing quality pastries and loaves to the Huntsville area. They not only have tasty macaroons and dessert breads, but they also have delicious coffees and drinks.

      2. Parlour Doughnuts

This is not your typical doughnut shop; They combine savory and sweet flavours. One of their best sellers, the maple bacon doughnut, combines the sweet, woody flavour of maple syrup with candied bacon.

      3. The Yard

This is not your typical ice cream place; it’s a gourmet milkshake shack. This special little dessert place is located in Madison near the Trash Panda Stadium. The franchise gained fame through the founder’s appearance on Shark Tank; They have two locations, one in Gulf Shores and the other in Madison.

      4. Cinnaholic

This is a cinnamon roll shop unlike the rest, with a build-your-own cinnamon roll and toppings. Their best seller is the Cookie Monster cinnamon roll: homemade chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate chips and housemade chocolate sauce.

      5. The Moon Bakeshop

This beautiful bakeshop is located in downtown Huntsville. It’s a European-style dessert shop. The best seller at this bakery is their cookies; however, they have a large array of sandwiches, scones and coffees.
