Have you seen the nails around for prom? Students were getting their nails done in many colors, lengths and designs. Prom nails are a fun way to complete your special look.
Nail technicians are among the most artistic “pink-collar” professionals. Nail techs have some of the most creative minds and talented hands. They create beautiful designs on the smallest of canvases. Nails and accessories can really tie a look together, but the right nails will completely alter a look. In terms of nail length, there were plenty of options.
When planning your perfect prom nails, there are a lot of factors to consider. There are choices to make, like whether a color matches the dress, or choosing between long nails for drama or short for comfort. One must keep in mind their budget and the inspiration they have to find the perfect design idea, as well as whether it fits the theme of the prom or not.
There are a lot of colors to choose from, and students pick their nail colors in very different ways. Senior Princess Nash said, “chose nude pink” for a gentle, natural appearance. She wanted nails that would complement her dress without matching it exactly. Nash said “short nails because of my internship”, but they also give a nice, comfortable feel.
Black was another popular color. Senior Ryann Petraszewsky chose this color, which moved from soft to strong. For a more dramatic effect, she wanted her nails to make a bold statement that perfectly matched her dress design. Petraszewsky said “long nails”. They give a dramatic look and give a lot to work with on a small canvas.
Senior Rosa Schroder took a different path by choosing a two-color approach that combines the boldness of black with the sparkle of silver. This approach let her nails match her dress perfectly. Schroder said “short nails” for a more easy look and a way to be comfortable when expressing herself in something new.
Senior Mackenzie Welcome chose purple for a more fun color, unlike the others, who wanted to match the prom theme or fully complement their dress. She simply picked a bright color she loved that would coordinate with her dress. Welcome said “long nails” for the aesthetic and dramatic appearance it would give, and the flashy sense.
Not all nails will be the same, and not everyone will have the same taste, but these individual looks are a way for someone to express themselves in a creative way while looking professional and respectable.
