The baseball season is underway and the Boys’ Varsity team is batting well with a record of 13-13 and a 1-0 in their area record.
The team went on the road and dominated against rival James Clemens High School. It was a team effort.
Junior Brock Anderson struck out eight batters and also hit a home-run. A double dose of Brock Anderson was enough to bury the jets to a blowout game. Anderson (3-3) scattered five hits and didn’t walk a batter. At the plate, he went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Will Sipes also drove in a pair of runs for Sparkman (13-13, 1-0), going 3-for-4 with a triple. Sophomore Reid Powers was 3-for-3 with two doubles.
