Chick-Fil-A closing for month due to remodeling

January 20, 2016

The Sparkman community will take a devastating loss on Friday, Feb. 4.

The local Chick-Fil-A off of Hwy 72 will close for the month for remodeling. The reopening date is set as Tuesday, March 8, 2016.

“We are closing to update our dining experience inside the restaurant, update our kitchen to improve kitchen productivity and capacity and to improve the parking lot drive thru and parking issues,” store owner Norman Dull said.

If there is a name for it it is probably being replaced, from the floor tiles to the bathroom fixtures and all the way back in the kitchen. Not to mention the whole dining room and front counter area will be gutted.

“My goal is to improve the speed and accuracy of the drive thru experience,” Dull said. “Improve the congestion in the parking lot and give our guests an outstanding environment in the dining area.”

Some employees see this month as a nice break in preparation for the [hopefully] busy return.

“I’m looking forward to the new changes because we will have a nicer facility and things will be better for the customers and employees as a whole,” Chick-Fil-A employee Rachel Hardaker said.

While the new renovations will be seen as an impending addition to some like Hardaker, to others it will be the slowest make or break point for all Chick-Fil-A addicts.
