Elementary Students Enjoy Halloween Dance

What’s spooky and fun at the same time? The Harvest Halloween Dance.

On Thursday, Oct. 24 the Harvest Elementary PTO, with the help from the Sparkman High School National Honor Society, put on a stunning event at the school. They sold 350 tickets to the students and parents.

Many of the students dressed up in their Halloween costumes. Some of the best included a viking, a lion, a few clowns and a cool inflatable costume capturing the scene of a boy being taken by a creepy robed creature.

Dinner and snacks were sold, too. Pizza and sandwiches, provided by Domino’s and the Butt Shack, were being sold in the cafeteria throughout the dance. All ticket and dinner sales went to help the school make a new awning for car rider lines. The concession sales will support the fourth and fifth grade’s Washington, D.C. trip in the spring.

Most of the students took advantage of the fun, spooky music and ran to the dance floor to dance and play with their friends. The parents watched from the bleachers.

With the orange and black decorations, thrilling costumes and spooky music, the Harvest Elementary PTO put on an awesome Halloween dance that delighted students, teachers and parents alike.
