Senators Win Streak Broken by One Point Loss

Senators suffer their first loss of the season. The James Clemens Jets beat the Senators 31-30 to end the Senators winning streak leaving them 5-1.

Though they lost, the offense led the charge scoring 30 points.  Senior quarterback Josh Ward threw for 244 yards and completed 26 of 36 passes scoring 4 total touchdowns, three passing and one rushing.  Senior Jayden “Drip” Thomas had 5 carries for 60 yards, senior Amaree Jabbar had 12 receptions, 106 yards and two touchdowns. Junior Jonathan Rozier had 10 receptions, 100 yards and one touchdown.  The offensive line only allowed one sack the entire night. 

The defense was led by senior Yves Ponder with 16 tackles, Josh Murphy with 13 tackles, and with 8 tackles Jamarion Matthews, Jalyn “Jroc” Chambers, Jayden Chambers and Kahari Petty. 

The senators will face Bob Jones at Madison City Stadium on Friday, Oct. 13.
