Team Sets School Record With 77 Points

The Senators started the season strong, beating Hazel Green and setting a school record with a score of 77-9.

The Senators scored 35 unanswered points during the second quarter. The offense finished with 441 yards, 246 Passing yards and 195 Rushing yards. Junior Quarterback Josh Ward finished 15-21 passing for 221 yards and five touchdowns.

“We played well, all three phases, offense, defense and special teams, with Walt and them kicking. Everybody played with great effort and great attitude,” assistant coach David Wheeler said. “We were able to go out and have success and now we are just trying to build on it.”

The Senators will face Huffman at home on Friday night.
