Boys teams get ready for playoffs

With a clean sweep over 7A rival Bob Jones, the boys varsity baseball qualified for the state baseball playoffs. The team moves to 33-7 after the double-header sweep. The team will face Grissom on April 29 at 4:30 for the first round.

The boys’ soccer team also qualified for the playoffs in coach Mario Limon’s first year as head coach. The team defeated James Clemens, 4-1 on April 20 to secure their bid. The team is currently ranked fourth in the state. Alex Trinh, Tucker Havercamp, Anthony Crute (penalty kick) and Steven Sallas scored for the Senators.

The time for the playoff game will be announced.
