Tackle Tuesday: Personal Transportation or Public transportation

Melly: Personal

Personal transportation is essential when it comes to leading a managed and well balanced lifestyle. Personal transportation allows you to go wherever you want on your own schedule and gives you a much wider variety of locations to visit. When it comes to work, personal transportation allows you to arrive at work on time without the possibility of delays or complications. And unlike public transportation, you can go anywhere you want as long as you have a vehicle and the willingness to explore. While I do understand that cost can be a problem, especially in Urban areas, I believe that a cheaper form of personal transportation such as bikes and scooters should be provided to people in larger cities or the government should provide them to people unable to afford their own. This would allow a larger percentage of the American population to prosper.

Enoch: Public

In places with a high population density, it is beneficial to have methods of public transport. This could mean a train, a bus or even a community bike rack although the ladder is rare. Public transport can provide many benefits to a population such as a cleaner environment due to fewer engines being run, which also makes the area quieter. Public transport is also more efficient; It is a simple fact that it is better to transport 30 people with 1 big engine than 30 little engines. Plus under such a system people will not be driving in their personal vehicles as much meaning their vehicles will last longer.
