Crimson Crier: What is your favorite hobby?

Ben Stevenson: “Outside of school I crossfit in my free time which is what I do for fun. It is what I do to try and stay in shape.”

 

CC:  What is your favorite movie?

BS: “My overall favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption. Mostly because it is the greatest movie ever.”

 

CC:  What is your favorite subject besides the one you teach?

BS: “Other than history, or government… English I guess, I like to read nowadays. I am not so sure I would have said that back in high school, though.”

 

CC: If you could eat dinner with one dead person from history, who would it be and why?

BS: “Let’s go with Thomas Jefferson. I just think it would be nice, he is one of the smartest Americans to ever live, he was a founding father, so there are a lot of questions I could ask, and he was a president so there is a lot that encompasses him all.”

 

CC: Do you have kids? If so how many, and what are their names?

BS: “I have one son who will be nine months old this month. His name is Billy Mac.”

 

CC: Do you like sports? If so which sports, and why?

BS: “I like just about every sport. I like some sports more than others which are baseball and football being my two favorite. If it is a sport I just about watch them all.”

 

CC: What is your favorite book?

BS: “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie. It is about how to approach people and talk to them. How to interact and build life changing relationships with people. I feel like everyone should read it before they graduate high school or college.”

 

CC: What is your favorite animal and why?

BS: “Maybe a lion. My college mascot was the lions and they are the king of the jungle even though they don’t live in the jungle.”

 

CC: What is your favorite food?

BS: “I like a lot of food. It would probably be barbecue just because I never get tired of eating it. I could eat barbecue every day of the week in some form or shape that I won’t like.”

 

CC: If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be and why?

BS: “I thought about that the other day. I am thinking maybe Scotland. It has always looked interesting to me and I have some ancestry from that area. It is also a really pretty place.”
