Class of ’15 makes the most of summer

Seniors celebrated the start of the school year with a splash.
Forty-six seniors started the year with a massive water balloon fight on Monday August 4, the day before school began. This event, deemed “Water Assassin”, was planned by the student government as a fun back to school get-together. Senior Kyle Anderson played a major role in planning the event.
“I think that the event was a great success. There were a lot of people there and everyone brought plenty of water balloons. I personally had a blast during the event,” Anderson said.
Some participants brought more elaborate water weapons than others. Senior Riley O’Brien, for instance, brought water balloons as well as a launcher for them.
“I brought a massive slingshot for my water balloons. We had three people all working together to get the best results. The battle only lasted around 20 minutes but it was a great way to start senior year,” O’Brien said.
After the watery carnage had subsided, soaked participants had time to talk and hang out with each other. The event helped the seniors to have fun but also to bond together as the class of 2015.
“It was hard to find a date that was good for everyone, but all in all the event was awesome,” Anderson said.
