The Senator defense gets to the Huntsville quarterback, shutting down their offense in a win, 43-12.

The Senators finished up area play with a lopsided victory over Huntsville High, 48-13.

Three big plays in the first quarter boosted the team to a 20-0 lead, including a senior Nick Sawyer 29-yard run, a 37-yarder by senior Clifton Shaw before junior Luke Schomberg ran a 7-yard option for a touchdown. Shaw ran 12 times for 128-yards in the game.

“”We came in and played hard. I give thanks to my offensive line,” Shaw said. “They blocked hard.”

The team is now 5-4 on the year.

The team will face Muscle Shoals tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at Senator Stadium.
