Student Explains Why Alabama Will Win The Iron Bowl

November 15, 2018

Decades of tradition fall down to this specific time in sports, described as one of the fiercest rivalries that have ever existed in college football the Iron Bowl is a clash of two head-coaches and the Alabama and Auburn fans everywhere. The winners of this game usually end up winning the SEC and going to the playoffs or a high-tier bowl game.

With the Tide’s sluggish 24-0 victory over Mississippi State, pessimists could already assume that Gus Malzahn could give ‘Bama a run for their money. Nick Saban and the Tide have been chugging along at full speed, staying at the number one rank all year and averaging about 48 points per game according to ESPN.com.

On the other hand, Auburn has been in a perpetual down spin at the control of Malzahn. Their offense has been their downfall, scoring an average of 26 points per game, however, their defense has not let them down by only allowing 18 points per game, according to ESPN.com.

This clash of the two SEC giants is slated to be an Alabama offense versus the ruthless Auburn defense. Even so, Alabama’s defense will completely shut down Auburn’s offense and keep them to a limit of 10 points or less and Tua Tagovailoa will have his quad healed by the time the Iron Bowl starts. Even if Tagovailoa’s injuries turn serious, Jalen Hurts should be able to hit the field full speed according to bamahammer.com.

Alabama should be able to crush Auburn and keep their offensive strides to a stroll, while their offense should roll right over the secondary and linebacker core. It will come down to who has the means and Alabama has them. So I predict that the score will be 31-7 in favor of Alabama.

Student Explains Why Auburn Will Win The Iron Bowl

Every Saturday, fans from around the country watch college football. In the south, one of the greatest college football rivalries exists between the University of Alabama and Auburn University. Fans debate the outcome of the Iron Bowl each year. Money is bet on the game and fans gather with one another to enjoy the festivities that take place prior to kick off. Auburn University has struggled throughout the 2018 season but there is hope for winning the Iron Bowl.

Auburn has had a rough season but the Iron Bowl is a game where the outcome isn’t determined by the early parts of the season. It isn’t likely, but there could be a chance of Auburn pulling out a victory. The team knows how the Crimson Tide plays so they should be well prepared to stop their offense. However, the team needs to put in some serious practice on the offensive side of the ball so that they can score.

Alabama definitely has an advantage going into the game and that is known by football fans everywhere. Auburn always seems to have a few miracle plays in the bag that gives the team an advantage. Hopefully, the team will get their act together and make the university and all of the fans proud.

The outcome of the game will reflect how each team plays throughout all four quarters. Both teams will be well prepared and ready to battle it out in Bryant-Denny next Saturday. I predict the score of the game to be 28-27 with Auburn on top.
