McKinley Erves scored from third followed by Trevor Shelton’s three-run hit into center field to tie the game 4-4.Erves and Reid Powers hit back-to-back doubles, taking the lead 6-4.

The top of the seventh ended in no outs and runners on second and third giving the team a chance to break ahead. Resulting in two groundouts and a fly out the team took the field in hopes of holding the score.

With bases loaded and one out at the bottom of the seventh, the Rebels hit a ball to shortstop, Andrew Stemple, who threw home in the attempt for a forced out. Powers, as catcher, caught the bouncing ball for what everyone believed was an out, however the runner was called safe.
