The girls’ varsity basketball team defeated defending state champion, Hoover at Wallace State this morning. The score was 57-40.
Senior Alexis Jennings was the lead scorer with 27 points followed by senior Toni Brewer with 14 points. The girls will face the winner of the Austin-Bessemer City winner on Friday, Feb. 21 at 9 a.m.
