Job Fair Held For Co-Op Students

May 3, 2018

Co-Op Advisor Beverly Massa put together a job fair for students entering her course that did not previously have jobs. A minimum of 140 work hours are needed to be enlisted in Co-Op and having a steady job is the key to those hours. Juniors who attended the Job Fair shared their thoughts on why they went and what they found most helpful pertaining to the event.

“I wanted a job. They had people walking around just to make sure if you needed help they would help you or with any questions there was somebody to answer,” junior Brianna Crawford said.

“I wanted an opportunity to see what kind of jobs were out there and what my options were. I like that they staggered the groups so that you could focus on one employer at a time,” junior Ethan Ellis said.

“I decided it was the best fit for me. Instead of going to the actual job, we just kind of meet with everybody and see my different options. Meeting people in person gets a feel for the job, the work environment, the workplace.” junior Michael Palmer said.
