Slow Cooker Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • ⅓ cup hot water
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate (roughly chopped)
  • 4 cups (1 quart) milk
  • ¼ cup half and half (or replace with additional milk)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 5-7 candy canes (pulsed in food processor)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix hot water and the cocoa powder together  and stir until smooth.
  2. Add the bittersweet chocolate, milk, half and half, sugar, candy canes and cocoa paste to the slow cooker
  3. Heat on low for 2 hours unless chocolate isn’t melting after first hour then put setting on high and leave it there for remaining hour, stir every 30 minutes
  4. Served with marshmallows, crushed candy canes  and whipped cream

 

 

Spiced Caramel Apple Cider

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 1/4 cup caramel topping
  • 1 teaspoon Apple Pie Spice
  • 2 teaspoons Pure vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Bring apple cider, caramel topping and apple pie spice to a gentle boil in a saucepan, then stir in vanilla
  2. Pour in serving cups and serve with whipped cream and caramel topping

 

 

Pumpkin Pie Steamer

Ingredients:

  • ¼ c. pumpkin puree
  • 2-3 T water
  • ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Sweetener, to taste
  • 8-10 0z. milk

Instructions:

  1. Pour pumpkin puree and water in mug and stir well.
  2. Microwave for 30 seconds
  3. Stir in pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, and sweetner
  4. Pour milk into mug and stir
  5. Heat for additional 60-90 sec, depending how hot you want it
  6. Top of with a sprinkle of cinnamon
