The Crimson Crier

I am currently a teacher at Sparkman High school. I am the advisor of both The Crimson Crier and Sparkman High’s yearbook. I have been participating in the journalism department at Sparkman for ten years. I also teach Great Wars and Cold War classes.

I am a senior at Sparkman. Although this is my first year writing for The Crimson Crier, I have been active in Sparkman journalism for three years and am this year’s yearbook editor. I want to be a sports journalist and the manager of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team.

HI! I’m Brittany, duh, I mean my name’s right above me. Anyway, I’m a sophomore on the best newspaper staff ever! Something about me? Hmm, well I like reading, writing, drawing cartoons, doing dangerous stuff and climbing trees. Also, I’m best known for my rainbow of knee high socks that I wear everyday and for being hyper and jumpy.

I love all my friends very much, and everyone complains about it, nicely anyway.

I am a sophmore and a new addition to The Crimson Crier staff. I like to write, draw, and read.

I am a first year journalist for The Crimson Crier. I mostly write about sports. I want to be a broadcaster later in life.

I am a sophomore, which makes me a newbie to the staff. Yup, that pretty much sums it all up. Oh yeah! And I really like giraffes. Giraffes are amazing.

I am the most insanely sane  person you probably will ever meet. I love to laugh, have a good time, and joke around. I love to draw and design skyscrapers and different types of buildings.

I am currently in my first year on the staff of The Crimson Crier. I am the web editor. This is my second year in publication after my stent in Sparkman High School’s Literary Magazine staff, where I occupied the assistant editor job.

About me, you say?

I’m a sophomore and a writer for The Crimson Crier. I like long walks on the bea- oh wait, just kidding. I actually enjoy listening to music, reading, blogging, writing (I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t, would I?) and drawing. I’m currently involved in community volleyball, Scholar’s Bowl, Photo Club, Girl Scouts, and church.

My given name is Nastassja Kimberly Pruitt. I am a 16-year-old senior, and this is my first year writing for The Crimson Crier. I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty swoof, and my writing  greatly reflects that. I love to write opinion articles since I’m very outspoken and seem to have a strong opinion on just about everything (I always support my claim with direct truths and evidence). Other than that, I have a 4.0 GPA, and a 27 ACT score. I like octopi, tattoos, and piercings.

I am a senior at Sparkman High. This is my first year on The Crimson Crier staff, though I am no amateur when it comes to writing.

I am a first year member of The Crimson Crier. I have a monthly column devoted to the review of innovative music, both old and new. Also, I am a member of the Senator yearbook staff. Most of my time out of school is spent writing two novels, one entitled Destination Maine and another that is called Mosaic. When my brother Byron comes home, I play and record music with him on his 8-track. Some of my other hobbies include going to the gym, biking, watching movies, and listening to music. Likes: Hot and Spicy Cheez-Its, dark comedies, and reading. Dislikes: hair metal and people who wear sunglasses and scarves indoors.

I am a junior and starting my first year as a cub writer for The Crimson Crier. I like to wear sharp rings in case I get in a fight. I will eventually marry a man who makes upwards of $700k a year, spawn 2.5 children and own a pink Cadillac. I plan on dying my hair blonde and cutting it into a mom bob to further fufill my dream of being the perfect soccer mother. I plan on not having a career and being a gold digger.

What’s up!? I’m Patrick Fitzgerald. I love sports, politics, and hanging out with friends. I’m from East St.  Louis, and my first language was Italian. I play soccer both for the school and for Huntsville Futbol Club. I’m a proud member of the class of 2013. You can find me at pep rallys getting LOUD! I’m a fan of Big Red Nation (Sparkman) and Big Blue Nation (Kentucky).

What up? I’m Kenneth Harris. I’m a black dude fron the hood of East St.Louis. You see me walking down the halls in my Cardinals gear!  Call me “Kenneth Swaqq too stupid Harris.” I’m a Missouri Tigers and St.Louis Cardinals fan. I plan on going to Mizzou for journalism and working for ESPN as a baseball or college football analyst. Peace out homie… when you see me and my people comin through, do like that Luda song back in the day: “GET OUT THE WAY.”

I’m Bailey. I’m that kid that could be pretty awesome if she worked on being such a space case. This is my first year with The Crimson Crier. This is also my first year in musical theater.

I spend a lot of my free time writing, drawing, making drafts for inventions, and rambling aimlessly at my best friend. Mostly I write stories or essays, but sometimes I do poetry too. Even more recently, I’ve been writing plays. Since I love mentoring too, when I graduate from UAH I’m gonna go for being a literature professor.

As for my art, my usual mediums are graphite and Nupastel, and my pieces generally falls into the categories of either sketches or multi-page comics. Every now and then I’ll get it in my head to teach myself how to paint, but then I forget. Maybe some day.

I am a junior at Sparkman and a cub writer for The Crimson Crier. I am also involved in the school’s photography program, Crimson Society, SGA, and Photo Club. I love reading, especially Harry Potter, and watching my Penn State Nittany Lions play football.

I am a senior at Sparkman High School.  I write for our school newspaper, The Crimson Crier. I am energetic, I love to have fun, and I am in love with drifting cars. Everybody says Selena Gomez is my twin. (: My hobbies are singing, shopping and tanning. I am a true Barbie.

In case you missed it, my name’s Kelly and I’m the spread editor for the news staff this year. I’ve been writing my whole life- okay, not my WHOLE life, but you get the point- but I plan on doing math for a living as an engineer because I am a nerd. I’m told I have a “momma face” when I’m stressed and I am in love with Red vs. Blue. I have a tangential mind and I like iced coffee.

A writer at heart, I took on newspaper last year to further my goal of breaking into the journalism business. Between Boy Scouts, AP classes, and personal problems, I’ve got my hands full this year. My hobbies include playing music, reading, and (if I could find one) long walks on the beach in the dead of night with nothing but scuba gear, a camera, and a flashlight. I’m looking forward to writing for you!

I am Drew Schrimsher,  I have been a part of The Crimson Crier for two years.  I am the best infograph editor The Crimson Crier has ever had, considering I am the first.  I am also a reporter as well.

I am Lee Robeson, the sports editor for the newspaper. I try my best to irritate everybody on the staff. Lastly, Arby’s is my favorite place to eat.

I am a junior and this is my second year on the newspaper staff. For the 2011-2012 year, I have been given the role of the Lifestyles Editor. I throughly enjoy writing; it is a way to express my thoughts and emotions. Another way I express myself is by the art of dance. I have been dancing at North Alabama Dance Center since I was four years old. I enjoy staying active in my school, church, and community. I have been a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church for as long as I can remember.

Hello! My name is Rebecca Arnold! I’m in my second year of newspaper and the newly appointed News Editor. I was born on an obscure nondescript cloudy day in September and I’ve been awesome ever since! My favorite food is tacos, but sometimes I eat hawaiian pineapple pizza imported from the vast jungles of Africa with extra mushrooms.

Hey guys. I’m a senior and I have been on the CC staff for 2 years now. I really enjoy working with everyone because we have the best newspaper staff ever and in my spare time, I like to write fantasy and other novels, hang out with friends, listen to music, and go to youth activities at Calvary Baptist Church. I’m looking forward to a great last year of high school–let’s hear it for the SHS class of 2012!

My name is Meghann. I’ve been on staff for three years now. I have held two editor positions: entertainment editor (2010-2011) and Editor-in-Chielf (2011-2012). I plan on majoring in Advertising at Savannah College of Art and Design after I graduate from high school. After college, I would love to get a job working for Apple. My staff consists of a bunch of goobers whom I have grown to love dearly. Oh, and my advisor, Mrs. Coggins, is the bomb diggity.

My name is Michelle Jeffries and I have written for The Crimson Crier for three years. I currently serve as entertainment editor and reporter. In my free time I enjoy driving, playing video games, meddling with interior decorating and design, unhealthy amounts of reading, writing, art, music and spending time with my friends (who know who they are). I may come off as timid at first glance, but once you get to know me I am nothing short of a live wire.
