Softball picked up six wins on Saturday, April 4 to win the Bob Jones Tournament.

The Senators have been struggling to play together and find their groove, but came out like a new team for this tournament.

“We finally came together and played as a team.” Moore said.

They defeated Louisville Male from Kentucky to win the tournament. Pitchers Bailey Moore and Paige Bannerman earned the team three wins. Moore also ended the tournament batting .500.

Sophomore Mackenzie Nutt had a great weekend at the plate batting .647 with two doubles, two triples and two home runs. Freshman Amanda Shikoh made her first appearance as a varsity player. Shikoh batted .750 for the weekend with two doubles and a triple.

The lady Senators will take on James Clemens tonight at 4 p.m.
