Two train wrecks with another on the way

With the announcement of the next “Sharknado” movie coming out I decided to go back and watch the last two movies as a review before daring to watch the third. I had forgotten everything about these movies, so I was going in with an open mind. After watching both movies back to back, I came away with one question in my mind; why do we love these movies so much?
The answer is that society loves to make fun of things. This movie should have faded into the shadows of humiliation, but instead it became a sensation and even gained a popular sequel. After the “Sharknado” fad started, the second movie had more celebrities than almost any A-list party in Hollywood. Judd Hirsch, Wil Wheaton, Billy Ray Cyrus, Al Roker and many other celebrities either had major roles or just appearances in the movie. These movies were so bad… they became something amazing. People could not stop talking about them. Individuals waited eagerly for the sequel, all while saying how terrible these movies were. Either this movie was so terrible you could not look away or the writers struck a comedy goldmine.
Where else could you constantly expect sharks to fall from the sky? And “Sharknado” pretty much stole from “Snakes on a Plane” when they put flying sharks on a plane. “Sharknado” is only good for the memes, Reddit commentaries and Twitter posts that inevitably follow in its wake. With “Sharknado 3” coming out in July of this year, you can bet that social media will go crazy on how the new movie is far worse than the two other disasters.
