Landscaping class revives school greenhouse

Finally the greenhouse has gotten the attention it deserves.
The landscaping and design class planted flowers earlier this week to learn how to manage and maintain plant life. Junior Bailey Herfurth and senior Elliott Daniels were an essential part of this process.
“Elliott and I built two of the tables and drilled holes in the frame so we could hang poles to hang more plants,” Herfurth said.
The procedure for planting the flowers was a simple one for the landscaping students.
“You fill up each container with dirt, then you push your thumb down in there put some seeds in it and then cover it back up,” Herfurth said.
Daniels agrees that bringing the greenhouse alive was a good choice. Planting these flowers will benefit not only the greenhouse, but also the homes of many.
“This class is pretty fun. I enjoy coming outside and spending it in the greenhouse I suppose,” Daniels said.
Aside from growing the plants, the class is required to help sell these plants. Starting April 13, the plants will be open to purchase to the community.
